Laser Cut acrylic toy collector display stand. This is designed for the Diamond Select/Art Asylum USS Excelsior as a replacement for the supplied plastic stand . This is the generic version we offer.
The base is made from 1/4" thick clear acrylic and measures 6.75" x 3"
The supports are made from 1/8" clear acrylic and raise the ship 2.5" above the base. (measure to bottom of hull)
Assembly required,no hardware or tools needed.
Occasionally some parts may fit into the base slightly loose. This is due to the acrylic not always being exactly the same thickness, it can be .5 mm different. You may use super glue on the parts tab that inserts into the base. If you do so, please use only a very small amount, this will tighten the part, your not actually trying to glue it.

Excelsior!
My original Diamond Select stand was a victim of a pet accident many years ago so my Enterprise D had been sitting on a shelf looking very sad for a long time. I figured surely someone out there had created an acrylic replacement or something by now so i did some searching and came up on Display Stands Direct. Ordered the D stand two 1701 stands, and an Excelsior stand so all my ships would match. And let me tell you I love these things. They are much more solid than the original black plastic stands plus they hold the ships at a more presentable angle in my opinion. And since they're clear acrylic they allow the led display case lights to shine through making the whole presentation look even better. Very glad I bought these. Note: For the Excelsior stand I did have to use some super glue to make the back stand stay in place. But that was even a possible step included in the instructions that came in the box so no big deal.

Generic DS Exclesior
Not as fancy as the engraved stand, but still gets the job done. Much better than the stand that comes with the model.

Excelsior at its best
Far superior to the in box stand that comes with it. If you want the model to look its best then do it the justice of getting this stand for it. It might not be the stand that was designed for it but it's the one that should have been! You won't regret it.
